SAVE THE DATE: FAT FRIDAY RETURNS TO MANHATTAN’S LES ON FRIDAY MARCH 2, 2018!

FAT FRIDAY lights up the New Orleans Mardi Gras tradition once a year in downtown Manhattan to celebrate an equal mix of charity and revelry—a righteous combination of live brassy Mardi Gras music, New Orleans food, dancing beaus and beauties, and a big fat dose of NOLA Love. FAT FRIDAY proceeds go to support a number of charitable organizations: participatory art organization FIGMENT (NYC), the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Foundation and The Roots of Music (NOLA), and The Innocence Project.

FAT FRIDAY began by NOLA transplant Matthew Day and New Orleans enthusiast Wylie Stecklow in response to the devastation resulting from Hurricane Katrina. Inspired by the influential music, cuisine and unique culture that makes New Orleans, Stecklow and Day formed an impressive array of musicians, chefs, and artists to create a fundraiser and celebration of New Orleans.

FAT FRIDAY is an opportunity for restaurateurs, musicians, artists, chefs and New Yorkers from all walks of life to honor and observe the spirit and legacy of New Orleans — through giving back by totally getting down. Stay tuned as we prepare for our 2018 event!
