THE EVENT
Fat Friday is a unique and righteous combination of Crescent City-style live music, delicious food, and much more!
CIRCUS MIND
Circus Mind is a New York-based band that always delivers a foot-stomping, bead-twirling good time with their delightful mashup of rock and funky NOLA influences like Dr. John, The Meters, and The Neville Brothers. In addition to being Fat Friday favorites, Circus Mind has performed at Jazzfest, Brooklyn Bowl, The Capitol Theatre, B.B. King’s, and more.
DEMOLITION BRASS BAND
New York’s own The Demolition Brass Band brings the sounds and energy of New Orleans to the Northeast and beyond. Created out of their love for the great music of New Orleans, they capture that same energy and excitement and deliver it to audiences outside of the Crescent City, where many of the musicians perform regularly with NOLA royalty such as the Dirty Dozen and Treme Brass Band.
PLANT JUNKIE
Plant-based delicacies for VIP ticket holders are provided by Plant Junkie. This NYC vegan restaurant fuses Asian flavors with traditional American comfort food. Nourishment that’s tasty, good for you, and great for the planet.
BARROW’S INTENSE GINGER LIQUEUR
Fat Friday’s amazing cocktail selections bring the ZING thanks to long-time sponsor, Barrows Intense Ginger Liqueur. This highest-rated ginger liqueur is handcrafted in Brooklyn using a cold-press process with 200+ pounds of fresh ginger per batch.
ANGEL ORENSANZ FOUNDATION
The beautiful spirit of Fat Friday is in part due to our stunningly gorgeous venue, the Angel Orensanz Foundation. Located on NYC’s Lower East Side, this neo-gothic masterpiece was built in 1849 and is the oldest surviving synagogue building in New York City. Purchased by sculptor and painter Angel Orensanz in 1986, the building was designated a historic landmark by the City of New York in 1987.
