Fat Friday Sponsorships
Fat Friday, started in 2006 by Wylie Stecklow, was a response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, particularly in the music and culture worlds. Very quickly, a committed team was assembled to bring this annual celebration of New Orleans music, cuisine, history, and spirit to the heart of NYC. The City of New Orleans has recognized the event as NYC's Mardi Gras Party.
Fat Friday NYC is supported by a fantastic team of volunteers, chefs, musicians, artists, and restaurateurs who pour their hearts into this night.
This is a philanthropic, large-scale production, a community-driven Mardi Gras benefit. As a 501(c)(3) pass-through organization, the Fat Friday Foundation donates all profits to non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations from NYC to New Orleans. The event runs with no salaries, no overhead, and a vast network of people donating or discounting their time, talent, and resources.
While VIP table sales help us generate enough revenue to make significant donations, sponsorships can help increase those donations from significant to substantial.
We have four levels of sponsorship. Each comes with recognition and acknowledgment in email, on our website, and at the event, as well as a tax receipt. Contact us for more information.
